The Selwyn School · Sponsored semester

Four versions of the mailer, and the same four as Meta ads

Every word here comes from the landing page you have already read, with the corrections Deb and Jessica sent on September 22 already in: 36 spaces, tuition-free rather than at no charge, no worksheets line, the $400 application fee, and the one-time new family fee waived.

The fine print on every back reads: Tuition for the spring semester is covered in full by a program sponsor and the one-time new family fee is waived. Families remain responsible for the $400 application fee and incidental costs such as uniforms, athletics and optional trips. Selection is made by the Admission Committee on the merits of each application. There is no drawing, no purchase and no element of chance. Program terms are confirmed in writing with each selected family.

What we need before this prints or spends

  1. The landing page has to be publicThe page the postcard and the ads point at is still set to stay out of search and is not linked from selwynschool.org. It needs a real address on the school's own domain, and the QR codes and ad links are built on selwynschool.org/semester. If that is not the address you want, say the word and every piece is regenerated in a few minutes.
  2. USPS nonprofit permit numberThe indicia on the back reads PERMIT NO. 000 as a placeholder. The mailing needs an active nonprofit authorization, USPS Form 3624, on file at the post office that accepts the drop, and the permit number printed on the piece. Without it the mail goes at the regular rate, which is roughly $600 more on a 3,000-piece drop.
  3. Quantity and drop datesThe creative is built for a 3,000-piece drop at 6.25 x 9 inches. If the mail file is split to test against a purchased list, each cell needs its own reply code so the responses can be told apart.
  4. Meta account is not ready to spendThe ad account is active but has never spent, and it is still missing a Facebook Page assignment and a payment method. Those are the two things blocking a launch. Once they are set, these creatives, the audience and the budget can go live the same day.
  5. Photo releasesEvery photograph here is Selwyn's own, taken from the school's website and media library. Please confirm the children shown are cleared for use in paid advertising, which is a different permission from appearing on the school website.
